Calligraphy is known for its ornate and traditional script style. Created by using Oblique/straight Dip Pens or fountain pens - and takes a lot of descipline and practice to develope this skill. Cursive writing is not calligraphy.
The process of dipping the nib into ink, using basic strokes to create letters really fasinated me -I just had to give it a try. I have found Oblique dip pens easier to use. My calligraphy style is simplified, with hints of classic strokes. This is were the term modern calligraphy comes from. All the traditional rules go out the window and your alllowed to develop your own style.
